Sunyani East MP, Hon. Seid Mubarak Condemns Atronie-Sunyani Armed Robbery Incident
Sunyani East MP: The Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, Hon. Seid Mubarak has reacted to the robbery incident that occurred along the Atronie-Sunyani. The incident which happened on Friday, June 13 resulted in the death of one person and left several others injured.
In a statement issued by the Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, Hon. Seid Mubarak, he extended his condolence to the beraved family and wished the injured a full recovery. He commended the Police for their swift response and assured an increased security presence on the affected road and other vulnerable areas.
Mr. Mubarak, the Sunyani East MP used the opportunity to reiterated President Mahama’s commitment to the reconstruction of the Atronie-Sunyani. He further called on the general public to remain vigilant and united as efforts are made to improve security and protect lives.

“We are deeply saddened by the recent armed robbery incident that occurred along the Sunyani-Atronie road, which tragically claimed a life and left others injured.
In my absence, my team, led by my constituency Chairman visited some of the victims currently receiving treatment at the SDA Hospital and the Sunyani Teaching Hospital, where we offered them some financial support to aid in their recovery.
We commend the swift response of the security services, and we can confirm that security on the affected route has been strengthened. We remain confident that the perpetrators of this heinous act will soon be brought to justice.
Let me also assure the good people of Sunyani East that, as H.E. John Dramani Mahama emphasized during his recent tour of the Bono and Ahafo regions, the Kenyasi-Atronie road will be fixed as a matter of urgency.
We stand with the affected families and continue to work toward a safer and more secure community for all”
In another statement, the Sunyani MCE, Hon Vincent Agyei Antwi also condemned the armed robbery attack. He stated that, patrol vehicles and motorbikes have been deployed to improve visibility and ensure quick response to any threat. He further called on the public to remain vigilant and united as efforts are made to improve security and protect lives.
