Super Zonals In Sunyani: Twene Amanfo Senior High Technical School (Tastech) and ISTIQAAMA Senior High School have been banned from the ongoing Super Zonals Schools and Colleges Sports Competition following acts of violence involving their supporters.
According to Mrs. Alberta Oppong Agyemang, the Organizing Secretary of the Bono Regional Schools and Colleges Super Zonal Football Championship the decision was taken by organizers after disturbances during a boys’ football match between the two schools at the Sunyani Coronation Park yesterday.

The match was marred by controversies, including a delayed kickoff and a situation where Tastech started the game with only 10 players. Tensions escalated off the pitch, culminating in an incident where Ali Abdul, a fan of the game was reportedly stabbed with a pair of scissors near the venue.
To ensure the safety of participating schools and preserve the integrity of the competition, the organizers announced the suspension of both schools’ boys’ teams from the rest of the tournament. However, the girls’ teams from both schools have been cleared to continue their participation.
