The 2025 BECE (Basic Education Certificate Examination) ends today, Wednesday, June 18, with Arabic (Essay & Objective) as final paper.
With Arabic (Essay & Objective) marking the end of this year’s nationwide exercise, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the exams.
WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, John Kapi, praised the Council’s handling of the examination in an interview on Citi FM on Tuesday, June 17. He commended its team and stakeholders for ensuring a smooth process across the country despite a few challenges.
Mr. Kapi noted that issues such as delays in delivering exam materials. One of these instances was when a vehicle transporting exams papers broke. However, he emphasized that these challenges were swiftly resolved.
