List Of The 25 Private Schools Added To Free SHS Programme For 2025 Placement
The Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) has released a list of private senior high schools approved to be incorporated into the Free SHS policy.
This makes it the first time private SHSs have been included into the Free Senior High School programme. This move is to increases access to quality second-cycle education, particularly in areas where public SHSs are over-subscribed.
As of Monday, 16th June, twenty0five (25) private SHSs have been added to the 2025 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) under the Free Senior High School policy.
The selected schools, labelled under “Category E” are co-educational day institutions offering programmes such as General Arts, General Science, Business, Technical, Visual Arts, Home Economics, and Agriculture.
The addition of these private schools to the Free Senior High School policy is part of a pilot phase of the Free SHS policy expansion. Below is the full list of the 25 private SHSs added to the free SHS programme:
