Dormaahene and President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Nana Agyemang Badu II, has called on President John Dramani Mahama to operate an inclusive government should he return to power.

He said Ghana’s progress depends on national unity and collaboration, not political exclusion, and urged the former president to consider qualified individuals from all political backgrounds when forming a government.

“We are all Ghanaians. Do not appoint people into government just because they belong to your party,” Dormaahene stated during Mr Mahama’s ‘Thank You’ tour in Sunyani on Friday, May 30. “Include members from the NPP, PPP, PNC, CPP and everyone with the competence to help develop this country.”

Dormaahene noted that, partisan appointments had weakened public confidence in national leadership and discouraged merit-based service. He added that Ghana’s problems – from unemployment and economic hardship to infrastructure deficits – affect all citizens, regardless of political affiliation, and must be solved with the collective expertise and ideas of all.

“Unity in leadership will strengthen our democracy and assure Ghanaians that we are indeed building a country that works for everyone,” he said. The event drew traditional leaders, youth groups, and party supporters from across the Bono Region.
